Welcome,
For my first entry, I'd like to share a little bit about my approach to this blog, recognizing that it may evolve along the way. As a matter of fact, I hope it does evolve as I continue to grow and learn through life and through sharing with you! This is where I will begin...
Each of us has an inner compass that will lead us in the direction of our dreams when we choose to follow it. Yes, even you!! Everything you want can be yours when you allow your inner compass to lead you. As I look back over the journey of my life so far, I can see a very definite pattern. When I have listened to my inner compass, I have always been rewarded magnificently. I like to refer to these portions of my journey as the Silver Path.
Why silver, when by society’s standard “gold” is the true reward – the gold medal for first place, the pot of gold, a gold star for a job well done? By my definition, the golden path represents exactly that - what society defines as “success” or “wealth” or “happiness”. While this is not always a bad path, it is not always the best path either. Most of us are very comfortable traveling the golden path, it’s what we’ve been taught to do all out lives.
The Silver Path is less familiar. It is simply and only about what makes you feel good, content, peaceful, fulfilled. It is finding your true purpose. And, while it may at times feel selfish, it is the only path that allows you to fully express the gift of you to the rest of the world!
I’ve decided to share my insights now as I begin to walk my Silver Path with intention, rather than stumbling across it by chance. I am not walking this path alone. It is my hope that you are inspired to share your experiences, revelations and defining moments here as well. That way we all can learn together and support each other as we journey down the Silver Path to our dreams.
Be well my friends, I look forward to traveling with each and every one of you.
Namaste,
Jill
